Heather Packer, Founder, is a New York City hairstylist and educator. She has worked alongside internationally acclaimed stylists, styled fashion shows in New York, Paris, and Milan, worked with celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Kate Hudson, Keira Knightley, and Cate Blanchett, and executed editorial shoots for Vogue, Italian Vogue, French Vogue, and ID. She began her New York City career at Bumble & bumble, worked at Cutler Salon from 2007-2017 where, in addition to styling hair, she created the editorial hairstyling curriculum and taught incoming stylists the technical and social skills required in the hair industry. She has now found her home at The Red Door Salon & Spa where she is the national educator of hair styling.
Gaby Garcia, Teacher, says that "anything is possible through clarity, belief, education and practice." She knew she wanted to be a hair artist since she was seven years old, and began her hair industry journey at fifteen taking academic courses and starting a cosmetology program. After graduating, she worked part-time as an assistant while earning a degree in Sociology and Health Education. After college, Gaby worked at Bumble and bumble, where she learned the art of hair and strengthened her passion working New York Fashion Week and editorial. Until recently, she worked at Mynd Spa and Salon as a Style Educator/Senior Stylist and Natural Hair Specialist working on guests, celebrities and fashion models in editorial and print.
Danielle Corcione, Founding Board Member, earned her law degree from New York Law School where she graduated with honors. She has held positions at two international law firms and served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey. An active volunteer, she has shared time and talent with numerous organizations and is grateful to use her legal background to help empower others.
Eve Simonsen Martinez, Founding Board Member, excels as a director of events and has developed and produced events for international leaders and global non-profit organizations. She is also a certified holistic health coach, yoga teacher, volunteer throughout the New York City area, and has worked extensively as an urban activist and consultant with Donna Karan’s Urban Zen Foundation.
Rachel Bodt, Founding Board Member, has over a decade of hair coloring experience in New York City. Her wide-ranging expertise and creativity has earned her a distinguished portfolio and clientele including celebrities, designers, models, runway shows, and some of the industry’s leading magazines. Her work has been featured in editorial spreads internationally, and she has been featured as a celebrity stylist in numerous magazines.
Tara L. Smith, APR, Board Member, is a full-time instructor for the University of Delaware’s Department of Communication, and founder of Tara Lynn Communications. Previously, Tara lived in New York City, and worked in public relations and corporate communication roles at the headquarters of NBCUniversal News Group, Time Warner Inc., and Ketchum Public Relations. Tara has provided pro bono public relations consulting to Fearless Beauty since its founding and was appointed to the Board of Directors in February 2020. Since 2006, Tara has been active in the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). She currently serves on the Board of Directors for PRSA Delaware. Previously, Tara served nationally on the Educational Affairs Committee, was an officer of the Board of Directors for PRSA New York, and held numerous leadership positions with PRSA Georgia. Tara completed her M.S. in public relations and corporate communication from New York University with distinction, and a B.A. in public relations from The Pennsylvania State University. In 2017, she attained Accreditation in Public Relations (APR).
Mona Munayyer Gonzalez, Board Member, has spent her career in advertising and is currently Managing Director at Pereira O’Dell, an independent advertising agency with a specialty in branded entertainment. Her passion has been telling stories in advertising that are as diverse and authentic as the audience themselves and creating an inclusive working environment that inspires people to build the ad agency they always wished existed. Her nearly 15 years of brand management expertise began in global creative networks and sharpened in boutique innovation and brand content-led shops. She is also a member of Chief, a network built to drive more women into positions of power and keep them there.
Lauren Roberts, Program Coordinator, is a civic coach, community organizer, communications consultant, and yoga teacher who loves connecting people with their power to create change. Drawing on more than a decade of experience working with political leaders, social entrepreneurs, and activists, Lauren collaborates with clients on strategies for systemic and individual transformation. In addition to coordinating programs for Fearless Beauty, she currently coaches political candidates and activists, as well as oversees communications and organizing for CTZNWELL. Her eclectic background includes roles as a legislative staffer on Capitol Hill, a deputy campaign manager for a mayoral race, and the founder of INDY YOGA VOTES, a campaign to bridge yoga and political action.
